Frammenti (Fragments) An award-winning short novel, published in 1991 and first presented at the Turin International Book Fair of the same year. Karen is the very embodiment of the loneliness of the human condition. The short pages she writes – fragments, as the title goes – are the result of desperate delusions. The only real experience she clings to is her now ended relationship with Jean. It is around that bitterly sad situation that Karen’s folly and absolutely lucid reflections revolve. A long, desperate path that will finally lead her to being herself at last. And everything will be “painfully renewed”.
